what's going on this weekend?

Hey guys...a few random weekend thoughts:

*Bored? Check out these billboards, which come with a disclaimer that "uncorrupted souls will see nothing devilish within these ads, while adults and pervs will see the illusion almost immediately."

*I'm thinking of playing put-put tonight. If that idea made you want to go all "Caddyshack" on my ass, check out this local mini golf venue, and this one, too.

*This weekend's entertainment highlight? Appetite for Destruction, a Guns N' Roses tribute band, plays at The Roadhouse Saturday night. Cover is $10, show starts at 10 p.m.

*If you still haven't checked out Aqua Nightclub, formerly Memory Lane, remember that the hot spot has no-cover Fridays featuring Dance Parties with DJ Kirk. Saturdays are also dance party nights, with a $5 cover and free entry before 9 p.m.

*Remember that Aqua hosts the Chippendales dancers June 27. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Call 706-358-7128. (Don't worry...a column will follow shortly.)

*Speaking of new (slightly more family-friendly) events, Italian restaurant Villa Nova, 7500 Veterans Parkway, opens its doors to diners this weekend with a performance by Scott the sing-a-long pianist. He'll be there Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. to midnight. Intriguing.

Have fun!
