third time's a charm?

Happy Hump Day!

Came across this article about a couple who recently married for the third time. As in, like, after two previous divorces.

"We must be soulmates," the wife says in the article. "There's something that always draws us back together."

Um...could that possibly be alcohol?

After my initial perusal of the article, I was all about calling this couple stupid. Then, in an unrelated discussion, a guy told me that he -- and apparently a bunch of other people -- believe that everyone deserves a second chance. (Yes, I know this couple technically gave each other a THIRD chance, but you get the picture.)

The discussion brings up a good question, though.

Do you believe in second chances? Are there some offenses that should absolutely never be excused? Does anyone still operate under the "once a cheater, always a cheater" mentality?
Can't wait to hear what you think.
